(no subject)

We put the Christmas tree up this weekend!  Christmas for me is like Halloween for Rachele, Connie and M.E.  I've never had a tree so big and it's downstairs with the kitty that is less likely to rip it to bits.  I'm so excited!  As soon as I remember I'll take pictures and put them up here.  We went to the Tazewell Christmas parade on Sat.  I haven't been to a parade in years and I might have knocked a few kids over for the good candy.  However they had "Easter Jesus" in the Christmas parade.  Not like Jesus in a robe and resurrected, Jesus on the cross.  They actually had "Christmas Jesus" and "Easter Jesus" on the same float.  Maybe it's just me, but I like to separate my Jesus' by  Valentine's Day at least.  It was a good day overall and Patrick's family cooked dinner for us and we all watched a movie.  The holidays are kinda hard without my mom, but I do okay.  I think Thanksgiving will be good, we are going over to my cousin's house and his girlfriend (of like 8 years) is having her family over too.  I don't think we've all had a holiday together.  It should be fun and perhaps we'll all be on our best behavior.  Our holidays normally ends in tears or alcohol or sometimes both.  Also, Meredith (my cousin's girlfriend) is a vegetarian and my aunt declared she would not have tofurkey (no one actually suggested it, she just assumed).  I'm also excited because I have Jess (my other cousin's) presents bought so that I can just take them to Thanksgiving (she's not coming down for Christmas) and I can be cheap and not have to mail them!
