Teen Pregnancy (warning stong language)

Okay, let me for just on second get on my high horse and bitch.  I have read comments all morning about how Bristol Palin is pregnant and how great it is that she is taking responsibility.  And how her parents are so proud of her and so proud to become grandparents.  You know what she made a huge mistake that is going to ruin her life and they are proud of her?  Really?  I managed not to get knocked-up when I was in high school and nobody gave a shit about that, but she gets commended for fucking her boyfriend whom she now is marrying at the ripe old age of seventeen.  Of the girls that went from elementary school through high school with me 1 in 3 was NOT pregnant (and those were just the ones that kept the babies).  I have no problem with abortion and I'm not saying people can't make mistakes (believe me I've made plenty). But, if I came home in high school and said I was pregnant my mom would have hit me over the back of the head with a shovel and buried me in the back yard.  Proud would not have come into play.  So I just want to say to everyone that has not been a teenage parent, congratualations and I'm proud of you!  Okay I feel better now.

However, I can't help grinning ear to ear because Bristol just ruined any chance the Republican party had of winning IMHO.

My man Barak says family issues should not be talked about in this campaign and I agree (a little) but you know behind closed doors he is pumping his fists in the air and shouting "YES!!!" ;D

Thank you!You know it's odd, but I was always mad at the fact that a bulk of the women in my family got knocked up at 16/17never went to school and never bettered themselves, and never ever did I ever get praised for not getting knocked up, for finishing H.S and doing college and being independent and wanting to have a better life than what was given to me. I guess in the long run my idea of succeeding and theirs was never the same, but I'm happy to say I'm proud of where I am and really happy there was no one there thanking the lord that I got pregnant and ended my young life. So congrats to you too!
